I thought it was a very intresting exhibition with the lighting and color scheme releally representative of sustainability a biochemistry. My favorite part was the experience with the glasses where the dress changed color. That floor was also dedicated to different materials and methords for sustanability, for fashion and tools.

the christie’s auction house

When I first arrived the art work and lobby made me feel in a very luxurious apartment building lobby. The whole environment, the stairs, artworks, security, concierge, and prices make one feel rich and powerful. When I entered the room I began to observe the items, reading the descriptions and looking at the prices. The prices where shocking for me something that I would never expect from books ad magazies, but the more time I spent there, I somehow I understood more. I liked the corner part where there is a table, chairs and pieces to view the object, specially books in a proper way without harming the covers or binding.

After finally seeing moma’s reopening of the 90 year anniversary, it was very intresting to see how such an iconic musum like the moma changed and renovate their vision to appeal to new visitors and have a fresh and more interactive look. I was very excited to see the new Frida Kahlo section since she is one of my favorite artists.

The gallery of the tiffany lamps was my favorite part, i found it so luxurious and elegant and very intiguing since I had no idea that Tiffany had once made lamps, which are so beautiful, I spent little time but im glad i went directly to the tiffany lamp gallery and was able to admire their colors and lighting of the set up which made every single lamp stand out and be abble to have their own personality.

the museum of the american indian

I was amused and intrigued by the broad and interesting collection of original Native American artifacts and art, but for me the most innovative part was how they were able to modernize and appeal to a younger audience mixing with moderism and contemporary art and still being able to appreciate native american art in a same place without appropriating it.

Morgan Library

The morgan library was a very classic and old fashioned library which was very fascinating and informed museum and library. I admired the way things were placed in an organized and respectful place which is the way they should be since they are very important and iconic manuscripts, objects and paintings,

object: sun necklace

This has been a very important jewelry piece for me personally. This sun necklace was given to me when I was around 4 years old. The reason behind the sun is because my second name “sol” in spanish translates to sun in english. I wore this necklace for the past 8 years and I recently changed it to a new one that I received when I was young, and has a more mature design. I have very personal conections with my sun jewelry since I consider part of my identity.

exhibition: restaurant pen gallery

If i were to create my own exhibition that I would launch in a gallery, it would be a pen collection I own and still collect from restaurants. I find this intresting since it used to be more common 8 years ago, and also in different locations depeding on tourism and luxury restaurant. I started collecting about two years ago when I moved to new york. I admire when restaurants have this because it proves to me that they care about the branding ad experience of the place. I would like to lay them out by locations, and alphabetical order.

bard graduate gallery

Since I am interested in fashion visiting this gallery was very interesting and inspiring for me. Being able to see real garments from the first world war and how important it was for fashion and women. My favorite part of the gallery exhibition was the third floor where they had a lot of illustrations from the designers, as well as seeing the construction of Lanvin’s garments.

the new museum

The marta minujin experience has been the most amazing exhibition I’ve ever been to. I decided to go alone to have a more personal reaction and be able to focus and observe with patience. I ended the “tour” speechless, I got my nails paited, ethusiastic, scared, desperate, and energetic emotions in probably less than 5 minutes. Many amazing things and experiences ocurred making it hard to decide what my favorite part was. If I have to pick one it would be the third room, where there was a lady who offered to paint my nails, the whole space was decorated as a very cool all pink nail salon cave. This was also the time where the whole experiece begins and gives you an idea of what the rest of the experiece could be like.

I found out about this museum when doing research for a collection, since I was intrested in stained glass. I decided to do the tour which was very informing for me, where I learnt about judaism, the area around the museum, and history. When we arrived to the top floor where I got there by the stairs was very magical with the stained glass windows by the stairs that displayed color on my skin and clothes. I was amazed the minute I saw the gigantic stained glass circle right in front of me. The light shinig through the stained glass windows and allowing not only light to get through, but giving vibrant colors to the stained glasses.

the Rubin museum of art

The rubin for me is a very intresting and well curated cultural environment with intresting art forms. Some pieces that interest me the most are the ones where you have to get up close to and admire detailing and symbolism, which brings me to this written embroidered piece that looks very different up close and a different context .
